Downtown Library

Nashville, Tennessee. This building was a failed shopping mall in downtown. Our mayor, at the time, had the insight to convert it to our main Library. Good thinking.
Processed in Phocus, Nik - Viveza, Color Efex, and Output sharpening. I'm fairly new to Nik, but am appreciating it more each time I use it. Watching tutorials & webinars online doesn't hurt either. It won't do anything that PS can't do, but man does it do it easier, and more intuitively.

great quality shot, love the sharpness and colors....... Composition is a bit wild for my taste part of the door, cut of piano, part of the piece of art, some windows........... understand it was in close space, I would probably try to shoot (i think you have it...) from the middle of the landing on the bottom, but again it was maybe only the way how to capture this architecture beauty, outstanding quality! :toast:

This is fabulous. I love all the diagonals. My only suggestion would be to do a perspective crop or transform to straighten the vertical lines on the left side using the vertical line of the wall corner on the left side of the staircase and light stand immediately above it that are noticably askew. This should then align the windows and the top of the staircase over on the left. This isn't something one would notice given the spectacular lines that are pretty straight over on the right side, but if this were my image, I'd fix that because it doesn't serve any useful purpose as it is.

Again, I absolutely love the detail in this and IQ as Verdon noted.

Thanks John. Here is a repost with the lines plumbed, at least according the PS's guidelines. Hope it's an improvement.

Michael: Really well seen and full of wonderful lines and details. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

PS: Just noticed the repost and I do like it better but the original comp and vision is still wonderful.

Much better with everything plumb because it is, after all, all about the lines. I like this more everytime I see it.
