The Bush Cricket

Ive been having a comfortable time with the bush crickets at the flower nursery, and the winter chill makes them move around with the first light...There are atleast five of them within about 10 square foot area.

This prompted me to work with them with back light. These are a result of my experiments with back light..

7D, 70-200 f4l, with extension tubes

Thanks NPN for your support

Love the angle and subject. The blown highlight at the UR steals my attention....perhaps a small vignette to tone that bright area down..... :wavey:

You're sure having fun shooting these crickets, Balan, and I'm having fun viewing the results. Another unorthodox comp, but it works for me. I also like the fun colors resulting from the strong backlighting.

I like how the cricket almost blends in, but doesn't quite get there. The little bit of orange is a nice touch

I really like your choice of composition! The details in the cricket, the colors - just lovely.

Good stuff! :toast:
