The juxtaposition of fall leaves and fresh gazania blooms caught my eye the last couple of days in our garden. I'm finally developing some basic competence with the new camera and its DOF preview features. I worked the hyperfocal distance on this one in order to get the minimum DOF to keep both centers sharp. That really turned out! The background could have been really distracting & instead it is quite pleasing. I like the green flow of lines and the opposing diagonal of the flowers.

Bill - Lovely composition using the thirds spots for the two blooms. Striking Orange Colored Gazanias really pop :eek: . The light colored leaf in the bottom right can be considered for a bit of darkening if possible.

The browns and oranges work well in this comp, Bill. An unusual but excellent color combination. The oranges really pop but retain good detail. As noted by Ram, the one light leaf near the bottom catches the eye and could be cloned or darkened.
