I think I still like "approaching perfect" the best with it's emphasis on the center of the flower....still the arrangement of this one between two striped pads at either diagonal corner is really nice as well. Is that a big old toad? Or is it just a bud? It looks a bit toadish :)

What a spectacular lily! Those deep magenta tips and soft colors below are so striking. Beautiful look at this Bill. Happy holidays.

Great job in processing the lighting and all the varying shades of color in this beautiful water lily. Nice diagonal comp with the interestingly striped lily pads. Now if that bud was a real frog, this would be a very interesting capture! But also very nice without the frog. One thought was wishing for more room on the right and less on the left.

Great job with the colors on this bloom. Also like the perspective angle. Comp seems a bit awkward for me with the bloom a bit high in the frame.

Another beauty, Bill. For me, the striped leaves you included in the comp add interest and balance to the gorgeous lily.

Strong comp and beautiful color Bill. While I like the detail on the bud, I might have cloned it out anyway. Certainly less accurate without it but it draws my eye away from the flower some. Gorgeous.
