That is for sure Ingrid. I like the overall feel of this shot. The colors are very powerful indeed. In the larger version the bird seems just a bit oversharpened to my eye.

Very colorful bird and setting, Ingrid. I like the wispy foliage in the corner and interesting DOF effect on the line of rocks.

A lovely bird in a gorgeous setting, Ingrid. I agree with Ron B about the sharpening. Back off a hair and this is super!

Amazing display of colors for a Starling. I like the wonderful contrast between bird and background and the stone wall perspective, well done.

I really like the colors in this image. The starling really stands out against the pale background (dare I say it? It's starling ). Agree with Ron B's suggestion of reducing the sharpening. The smaller version looks fine.

Thanks for the comments, guys, looking back I have to say you're right and I did overdo the sharpening on this one. I undid it a (large ;-)) step and personally think this is better - what do you say?
Thanks again!
Oops...after upload I see I can't show the updated large version (i.e. it's uploaded small)...or is that possible elsewhere?

Nice capture of a very colorful biird. Starlings definitely dont look like that in Texas.
