Goodnight And Go

A stormy sunset at Bearhat Mountain and Hidden Lake, Glacier NP, Montana. From the archives, back in August.
I'd have liked to shoot this from a higher, more pulled-back vantage to really capture the shape of the lake and the side of Bearhat, but we were being cautious about straying too far due to a bear sighting in the area - especially given our encounter with one a couple days before.
Shortly after this exposure was made, the mountain got completely socked in, the light disappeared, and the thunderstorm began - it was a fun hike back!

I agree with the comments regarding the light being on the right and the RHS of the lake being cut off - that's why I didn't even look at this file seriously for 4 months. I was trying not to stray too far from the trail due to bear activity in the area, otherwise I'd have been able to get a higher vantage on the scene. My lens was only an 18mm FF equivalent - if I'd had 14-16 I'm sure I could have balanced the overall composition better.
At the scene my inclination was definitely to include more of the light on the right, but placing Bearhat Peak on the left side of the frame didn't look right, since it was then "facing" out of the frame to the left. There was also nothing to anchor the right side in that situation, and it looked very left-heavy.
