The leaf had started decaying, what ever be the reason ..the color combination attracted me to this.. should have got more dof

I'm always on the lookout for patterns in nature and this certainly is an interesting one. The lighting is great. I would prefer to see the entire leaf sharp but that probably would have taken some focus stacking technique which isn't always feasible.

Great job to find the hidden beauty all around you, Balan! I really like your comp in this and the lighting. Nice details too but, yes, more DOF would have been nice. :smile:

Interesting pattern and textures Balan. I can see why you were drawn to the subject.

I'm ok with the dof decision. For me, the softness seems to fit the mood of the subject.
