Hi all,

Posting again, since photo did not show up for some.

I am new to NPN, just joined after lurking the site for about a year. From the work I've seen, I have much more to learn than to offer, but in the spirit of joining in, here is my first post:

Bald eagle photo taken on Farmington River in Connecticut in late September. Eagles are becoming more common in the state, but still rare enough that I stopped for this photo, especially since he stayed perched in this classic pose long enough for me to get a few shots.

Nikon D7000
70-300mm Nikon ED-IF lens
taken at 300mm, 1/400s, f5.6 handheld. ISO 400.
Cropped a bit since eagle was about 225 yards away. No other enhancements since light was flat, with light cloud cover.

Comments/critiques welcome.

I can see the image this time Fred, but it is really small. Please upload 720px on the long side images and even 1200px for the larger is allow. Really makes critiquing easier. Also if you want to reload the image, you don't have to wait until tomorrow, just comment on your own image and attach the image.

Fred, this saved at 320 pixels in the long dimension, at somewhere around 250 kb. It looks like you are saving it at 100% quality. In order to meet the 720 pixel size requirements, you would have to save this somewhere around 70%, and optimized at that quality. This is doable in PS and Elements in file>Save to web.

Thanks guys. I obviously have a lot to learn about Photoshop. Let me go back to the drawing board and figure this out.

Hi Fred,
Have you got the 'save to web' resizing issue solved yet?
If you need specific help email me.
No question is too small :wavey:
