Fox Glacier, New Zealand

One of numerous images I have to share from my recent workshops in New Zealand. This is the interior of an ice cave. I thought I would approach it like some of the Antelope Canyon shots I see so much of.

This is beautiful and elegant. Very similar to that of antelope canyon in terms of textures and patterns. Love the rich varied blues throughout the image.

Kah Kit,

Awesome! The gradation of both light and color is beautiful here. excellent job handling the light and the natural processing here is very well done.

Cool . . . literally and figuratively. I guess I'm more drawn to the colors and textures in the URC. Maybe a bit too much intense blue.

Looks very damp, blue, and organic! The shading of the blues from llc to urc is great.

Interesting, considering your reference to Antelope Canyon, that your composition and Peter's composition were posted consecutively. What an intriguing and appropriate comparison!

Gotta be honest here--it aint working for me. It lacks depth (unlike the Antelope shots...) and the pattern isnt interesting enough to hold my attention. The top bright portion just yanks my eye off frame. I think this would have been much more effective by focusing on a much smaller area (the top central part is most iinteresting) as more of an intimate shot. Just my take. :wavey:

gorgeous rich colour here with fine light and textures. having seen many ice cave images, it is this sort of abstraction that I always imaged I'd be drawn towards.

This goes well right next to Peter's red theme. Hot and cold! Nice comp to use the gradient of color ascending.
