This is a shot taken in the attic of the famous, W.T. Waggoner Ranch. Definately past it's prime.
We had a colt trained there, so we were allowed to look all around. The old saddles, headstalls, and other equipment looked like they had been there waaay too long. They had, definitely, seen better days

I really like the pinkish tonality and the combination of leather collar and wooden box. The larger version seems a bit soft, was this a slow shutter under low light?

Mark, glad you like it. I saw this against the wall posed just like this, and thought it would make a very interesting shot.
Canon G2 F2.2
1/20 sec
Handheld ...No flash, as the area above this photo was a line of windows w/ very bright light.
I, also, gave it more grain - post processing, to bring out the structure of this subject...as it was covered in a layer of really dense dust.

Interesting subject with a nice, casual comp. As a fellow horse admirer, I know that must have been a real treat to view all of these old "treasures" on this famous ranch. I like the processing treatment you did in this image.

(Lucy, I moved this image to POP Photos as you requested after I notified you of it being past the theme week in the Weekly Challenge gallery for this subject.)
