Folks,

Made this image yesterday, and got some quality time with a couple of bush crickets. This one was the larger one at the flower nursery. These creatures are a pest really. Decided to do the back light, and the colors are the young leaves of a decorative plant, and the soft green/yellow is the hedge.

7D, 70-200 with extention tubes.

Thanks NPN for your support

As often with your images, Balan, I find myself drawn to the colors and shapes in the bg as much as the subject. Personally, I usually try to soften the bg and eliminate anything that competes with the subject, but the contrasting colors and shapes give this a very contemporary look. Good job not cutting off the antennae.

p.s., you made me chuckle with the line "quality time with a couple of bush crickets."
