A fine flight shot of this guy! Your exposure seems right on with detail in the shadowed face as well as the lighter areas. Not sure if the OOF plant stuff should be cloned out or left as is. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats Sandy, not an easy species to get in flight. I'm fine with the reeds at the bottom of the frame, especially since none of them intersect the owl.

Great detail in the wing feathers, and even though the head is in shade, detail is good there, too.
I'd leave the weeds, as they sort of anchor the bird (if that makes sense).

Nice - I've never gotten close enough to one in daylight for a flight shot.
I'd keep the weeds.

Way to go Sandy, This is a good capture of an illusive Owl in daylight. You handled the lighting very well. I would leave the reeds, it gives a nice perspective of your position and the low flight path of the Owl.

Nice image of this species. Reeds don't contribute for me

The reeds don't bother me either, and in fact lead you right to the owl. There seems to be some kind of rings or disc shapes of discoloration in the BG around the owl and then again in the URH corner, present in both versions. Great job catching this owl in flight Sandy.
