I'm back from an incredible 3 weeks leading tours and workshops in the Southwest. I was fortunate to have fantastic clients and great conditions throughout! I was able to capture a few images of my own on one of the privates and will be sharing them along with other images from recent trips. I will be in town for the most part the next few months and I'm anxious to do some editing and sharing. Thanks for having a look!

Never been here in morning. The comp and light are quite nice. Developmentally, I could maybe see trying to bring some more light to the rock. It feels a bit underexposed relative to the sky.

This is great. I like the softer color in the sky and the broad sweep of vibrant sandstones in the fg. Nice work

Beautiful light and colors Justin. The lines, shapes and textures in the stone are so cool looking, and all finished off with that wonderful sky! :toast:

Great combination of color and lines, and the rock appears to flow here. Great sky, too

I've only visited here in the midday myself and I have to agree with Tony re: exposure. Just a bit more work could really make this one sing.

Great subject - the lines and textures are really appealing. The repost is even nicer. Good work!

Justin,

I'll refrain from commetning on exposure as my laptop monitor needs calibrating and things look to bright to start with. But the title is nice and while I can see the "road" its not yellow? Wonderful composition and the road leads my eye in nicely.

Justin,

What a fascinating landscape and I think you did very well to compose and showcase this landscape. I like your balance between the sky and sandstone formations.

The repost looks great. My only minor nit/suggestion is that personally I think the pink of earth's shadow is slightly over saturated. Lot's of forgiveness in the sandstone since I've never seen this and wasn't standing there, but we've all seen the earth's shadow.... ;-) no biggie though really.

I'm guessing you spent some time here and had fun with all kinds of other comps including some more intimate design and color images.
