I liked the way the frost crystals formed on these leaves. I did try to darken the BG some to make the main leaves stand out.

Very nice, John! Great colors and good detail in the frost and leaves. Its too bad the one red leaf on top was outside the range of focus and slightly overexposed. Still a very good shot though.

Nice find John, I really like the vibrancy created between the reds of fall and the ice crystals. Darkening the BG worked, it's effective at bringing our attention to the main leaves.

John, your work with the darkened BG did a nice job of isolating the main subject here. The subject fits the theme very well too.

Great change of seasons shot, John. The varying shades of red filling the full screen make for an eye-catching image. The crystals have formed in an interesting way on these leaves and the lighting helps give a 3-D look to the crystals. Do wish the front leaf was also in focus but this is not very distracting. Darkening of the background was a good call; it does help the main leaves stand out more from the rest.
