One more, a bit more straight forward. Getting a pleasing arrangement out of the randomness is always a challenge. Cropped from a two image pano stitch.

Your scene selection is nicely done and well balanced. really like the depth created by the water vapor. The detail in the trees with the hanging moss is just super. Very appealing, skillful image.

another killer image from this place. is the water ever disturbed, or is it nearly always glassy calm?

Another winner, David! I think the bottom, which is ordered, works better than the top, which truly appears random. So, personally id crop about half the top for a long pano. Another way to put it is that this would be strongest as either thirds or 50/50--and since i wouldnt touch the bottom, and as it stands this is an awkward 2/5 to the strong white horizon, the way to go is 50/50.
Good stuff however you slice it.

David, the panorama format helps to convey the tranquil feeling nicely to me. I especially admire the calm surface and the delicate reflection.

Beautifully put together scene David, and one of things I like most about your work, there is always a mood, which I find very appealing. Beautiful as always.

Interesting comp and great mood. I prefer the vertical comp including the whole cypress, but it only a personal preference.

Ditto on the excellent balance in your comp, and I think the pano format works great, too. Once again treatment of light and color creates a piece that resonates deeply with many of us. Superb image.

David,
What's not to love about your cypress images. I love being brought to a place that I may never get to see in person. The hint of blue in the foggy mist I think really makes this image, tying this wonderful arrangement of trees together. No nits or suggestions from me. Fantastic image.

I like this image very much. And I would like it much, much more with a much, much less dominate black frame. Just a very thin frame would be more to my liking. As it stands, I feel trapped in a cypress swamp. :)

So when does the book come out? My oh my you never fail to impress me with your cypress images David. The low lying fog in the background is what steps this one up another notch. Fine work.

One of my favorite aspects of most of your shots is the milky opaque quality of the water. Especially when it gets like chocolate milk! The fog on the water works beautifully here, softening but not hiding the colors and detail in the reflection.

Beautiful and so moody! Love the colors in this too. I also did a scroll crop along the lines that Stan mentioned and thought it looked good. I like it both ways...

Challenge? You make these look almost effortless. But I know how hard you work at it and how much effort it takes to tune in so well to a single subject. This is another winner as far as I'm concerned. This makes me feel like I'm at a cypress ball.
