Here is a recent shot from close to my home in Calgary, Alberta. The sun only showed itself for a brief moment but I was lucky enough to catch it. Thanks for looking!

Wayne: Not sure this makes me want to be there but I like your comp and the sense of desolation. Well seen. >=))>

Cool! Love the minimalism here, Wayne...
as an aside, if an image thief didn't know to crop the bottom here, they're severely brain damaged

A sense of desolation but solitude and tranquility as well Wayne. I like the simple beauty you have captured here.

It may need a bit bigger size to see detail well.

I think the minimalist approach works well here. There is just enough subtle detail to hold my interest throughout the frame but also a simple elegance from your framing and the soft light that captures the mood of the moment.

Really like that lonely, barren, almost minimalistic feel to your image. Well done.

Cool capture. A grey canvas might work a bit better here. :toast:

The feel of the snow desert is perfectly communicated, like the "nothing extraneous" technique. Pano format works with the pale sun adding balance, all in all well done.
