Montana, Glacier NP. October sunrise.

Canon 5D M2, 17-40L, 1s, f/11, 17mm, ISO100

Photoshop processing : composite of two shots, one for sky, another for the foreground. Curves, local contrast, dodging, burning.

Always appreciate the feedback, especially on processing.

Excellent composition Vlad! Only as for my taste i like little bit colder tone in water, not pink. then there will be a contrast of cold water color on a warm background.. but it`s only on my taste.
I can only dream about places like that.. Great work !

I forgot to mention, the exposure for FG are just excellent ! Nice silky water and a lot of details in it !

Stunning composition Vlad, I love the way the falls lead us up to the peak. The strip of light on the mountain is nice too. As mentioned though the pink in the water is a bit to much for my liking.

Very cool shot. My preference would be to crop from the top and right to bring this in just a little tighter. :toast:

Very nice composition. I would like to see the whole thing just a little lighter.

Great color and lighting! Correct shutter speed for the water. Good post-processing.

Powerful image. I agree about the pink water though.

I agree with the statements about correcting for the water. BUT this is a superb composite! Great job!

Beautiful shot. The light above seems strong enough to cast this pink on the water, so it doesn't seem unnatural to me.

This is a great comp. I see what other said about cool/warm contrast and this sure would be nice. But I also agree with morris comment that the pink sky is strong enough to cast this color on the water.

Great drama Vlad, the comp and color work very well. I agree that the water looks correct given the sky.

Cool comp and scene. The colours in the FG need some work.

Beautifully composed, great image. I would also pull back a little from the pink in the water/ground.

Reading the comments above is interesting. This may well be a chase of how this image is appearing on our individual monitors. At the moment I have two different brand monitors side by side and your image looks a little two pink on one and correct on the other. It's also a great image......very well done Vlad.

Spectacular light, engaging comp. Maybe feels a tad underexposed, but that's minor. Its a very captivating image.

Excellent composition Vlad. I really like how the pyramid shape of the foreground waterfall mimics the shape of the peak in the back. The light in the sky and on the peak makes this one even better. Well done!

Nicely composed and great light! What I find a bit unnatural is not the color of the water, but rather how the flowers on the left are brighter than those on the right. Given the direction of the sun based on the alpenglow, my brain tells me those LH flowers (and surrounding earth) should not be that bright.

Thanks !

I will post slightly modified version with cooling water streams for comparison. On that morning there was distinct pinkish glow, accentuated by the smoke and water highlights were visible warmer, which impacted the mood. I didn't really make color corrections, only worked on luminosity, but i see t he point many of you made.

@Jon - thanks, indeed flowers on the left are touched up to be lighter and i see that as a mistake. I will correct.

Nice shot, Vlad! I think pretty much all the processing tweaks have been identified, but those aside it's an outstanding image :toast:

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but I like the repetition of triangles in this photo. I think that really makes the shot and how you brought the creek right into the foreground. Very nice Vlad.

Wonderful shot, Vlad, I don't mind the color of the water since the sky is so intense. Nicely done! :toast:

Excellent. I actually prefer the warm colors in the water and I believe the colors should be there.
