A break in the Austria images. I had a chance to visit Maine's highest peak, Mount Katahdin for a weekend after Austria, and before the foliage had passed. My first day was great weather when I took this shot, then rain for the next 3 days.

6 shots focal blended for DOF @ 60mm
5D2, 24-105L, ISO 100, f16 1/16 sec each

Maybe difficult to see, but all of the water droplets in the near grasses look pretty cool in the original file.

Love the different elements here - reflection, water, fog, complimentary fall colours -
very nice image.

Oh Man, I don't know if Mt. Katahdin is just a backdrop for those layers of fog and morning light on the maples, or if they are a spectacular frame for the mountain. Add in the reflection and the shore grass, and you have a bunch of great stuff, and it's all arranged so well in this comp. Can't see the droplets, but I bet they look great in a big print.

Very nice image Harry. The blend looks great and this is sharp from front to back. The fog and turning leaves really make this one special.

I have only visted Mount Katahdin once many years ago and this makes me want to go back for a visit, Harry. Everything works beautifully together in this autumn scene and the fog is the icing on the cake.

The reds seem to be a real draw and great focal point for viewing & taking in the entire scene. Wonderful New England autumn look and atmosphere, Harry...

A lovely moody autumn image. I don't think that this would work without the reds
contrasting against the milder tones.

Expertly composed. The red foliage is the perfect foil for the softer colors of fog, water and mountain. I love the light on the fg grasses, as well. Very nice image

I've never been to Maine, but I never realized that Maine has mountains like this. Shows how much I know.

This is very tranquil ... serene. The fog in the middle ground really works well. The grass in the foreground is an appealing element also. Great effort all around.

It's a great result with the fog and the colors both in the foreground grass and the trees on the far shore. Excellent!

The splash of red foliage is beautiful Harry. The mist adds to the autumn mood as does the amber grasses. Did you get get any macros of the droplets on the grasses. Probably some amazing abstract opportunities there.

My favorite part of this image are the red trees. There are many pieces of the of the image that make it into a great whole. Real nice fall image Harry!

Harry,

Very quiet and serene - yet also I get the feeling of the start to a fresh, new fall day. Great atmosphere.

No nits or suggestions. Just lovely.
