Had a very nice encounter with a bull moose the other day in Kananaskis Country. I kept shooting until he layer down for a sleep and I could no longer see him. Was a great morning!

I quite like the open space above him! What a nice looking bull ! Hopefully we see more of this guy.

Nice image of a moose in snow. Would like to have seen his head up just a bit. Like the detail in his coat. IMHO anytime spent with a moose and camera is well worth it. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Wayne,
I really like how the top surface of the antlers is covered in a thin layer of snow and how the dark colour of the moose contrasts so well with the rest of the (almost homogeneous) scene. I do find the crop a bit awkward and am wondering how backing off a bit and going horizontal (and getting the whole moose in the frame) would have worked. But overall an interesting shot of a pretty impressive moose!

Beautiful shot with the contrast between the dark moose and the light snow. I agree that seeing a bit more of its head would have added to the photo. I particularly like the space above with the little pine tree softly in the background.
Grtz, Ingrid.

Beautiful and simple Wayne. Nice composition and nice handling of the wide contrast range, it seems the top of the antlers have lost a bit of detail with the brightness. Cool shot.
