Marvelous light here, a great pose and head-turn, and set off well by the dark BG.
That orange OOF rock on the left seems over-satted, so perhaps dampening it a bit would not draw the eye as it doeds now.
Fine image!

Hi Mark. I noticed this bird on your website, it's a great photo. I really like the dark background for the bird and the warm light. Super pose too. On my monitor it appears that the highlights are just a tad bright, might adjust those a pinch. This could work as a fine vertical too I bet, assuming you have some more room to play with below the bird. I had one of these in my back yard a few years ago, a rare sighting for this far north.

Sweet photo of one of my favorite sparrows Mark. Nice pose in great light, nice details and that background is perfect.

The bird looks good, Mark and it's set off well by the dark background. I do find the brightness of the OOF orange at LL to be a little eye-catching.

Lovely capture Mark. I love the perch. I too wonder what it would look like as a vertical. I also might take the brightness down a bit. All that being said I would still be thrilled to have this in my files.
