Common Grackle

Heavy rains seemed to bring out the birds during my recent trip to Monhegan Island. This Common Grackle had mottled it's tail feathers and was offering a clear view. The lighting however, as it was all weekend, was really tough-the flash gun and Better-Beamer were key to capturing any usable images.

I like this image and it has mostly everything going for it. Yes, tough lighting but I can appreciate the trouble it took to take this photo. Congrats!
