Shot at Point Reyes Headlands looking for Tule Elk who were rutting. We saw a pair but it was so foggy my shots were underexposed.
Took this with a Canon 5D Mark II, f10, 1/160. I enhanced the sky with Flypaper and used Silver Efex for b&w conversion, though there was little color in the original because of the fog.
Comments most welcome.

Nicely done. Wonderful painterly effect. The people on the curved path adds a lot to the shot. :toast:

I like this image. It looks like an old painting. It might look good printed on canvas. There's no reason to underexpose due to fog unless you are relying on the evaluative meter entirely. Once you take a shot, look at the histogram. If it's bunched to the left, it's underexposed and you need to increase the exposure time.

What an interesting effect. I love the central subject and the tonalities around the center, but not sure of that partial branch on the right.

Thanks for the feedback. And Brad I tend to shoot more intuitively than to rely on the histogram, but I'll practice more with fog & low light using your suggestion.
