Another from the yet to be planted. These are hard,at this stage,to compose, but I like the colors as they seem fall like to me.
D80, 50mm 1.8, F20 @ 3 sec, tripod, shutter release.
All comments and critique sought for my improvement. Thanks

Robert, those colors are outstanding. Red against green is quite pleasing and the flowers are beautiful. I think you did a fine job of cropping and it turned out nicely.

I think you did a fine job on the composition. There are a number of different paths my eye can take through the image. I like the slight detail in the background. Without it, the flowers would appear to be floating above the green background.

My only suggestion is to darken the bright spot in the lower right corner.

Bob - I like this much better than the previous version. I like the arrangement of the blooms in the frame here compared to the somewhat randomness that existed in the previous frame.

The bright spot in the LRC can be darkened but it does not diminish the viewing pleasure by any means.

Robert:
Very pretty flowers and image. Another vote for dimming the bright lights in bg.

Almost impossible to compose but not quite, Bob ! I really think this works, not just because of the lovely colour but because there is a nice variety of sizes to let the eye play across the frame on the leafy green bg.

The reds & greens work well in this frame filling blast of color.
Just enough space and size variation to make it work nicely Robert.
Well done!:toast:
