We saw an unusual amount of these guys on Monhegan Island in Maine last weekend. In light of the incessant rain and poor lighting I was happy to capture this image.

Very nice detail in the larger version, Chuck. Like this one. Definitely this is how one usually sees these guys. Never seen more than a couple a trip so that was a nice reward. Monhegan is about my favorite place to bird although it's been 20 years since my last trip. I imagine it hasn't changed much. The folks are pretty set in their ways out there.

Feel proud. I would. When I see them once every couple of years, dark days, back in dim woods, I can't get nice detail like here.

Any sharp image of a creeper is a good image, this shot emphasizes their small size and elusive nature. :toast:

This is really nice. The only thing I can think to improve it would be to move the bird out of center and place lower in frame. Your larger version is especially good with wonderful details. Would love to see one sometime. Sharon

Well done Chuck - tough subject in tough conditions. Bird is sharp and well exposed, you got light in the eye and the creeper is nicely separated from the background.

I just saw my first Brown Creeper just last month, they are certainly hard to get any good images, nice job in getting this, way to go.

Lovely image Charles. We have them in a local park each winter but so far I have not been successful. Would love to have this shot in my files.
