Taken last spring.

Speeding bass boats in a lake full of grebes with chicks is not a good combination.

Mixed feelings of a "personal experience" nature... It's so nice to be out on the water, especially when wildlife is around. And fishing can be very peaceful. The noisy speeding around and through wildlife areas makes me frown. Great shot, Sandy.

Its always tough on where to draw the line when it comes to which user groups are allowed and not allowed in areas. Here in Alaska its often all or nothing, which leave some areas pristine and other a nightmare.

Neat photo of the boat with the birds around it. Does show the problem, but it also looks as if this person is standing still or at best using his trolling motor as there is no wake visible. I do wish the branch sticking up was not covering part of the person. Thanks for sharing.

John, yes, many boats use their trolling motors when actually fishing, but this is a very large lake and they speed to different areas, going right through the birds.

Yeah, I wish there were a few more "speed limits" put on waterways as needed. The roaring motor can sure ruin a peaceful area, not to mention the danger to wildlife as you stated.
