The comp. triangle is great with the sun and the foreground rock. I also like the amount of wave action that you caught. It looks wonderfully peaceful.

I find the reflections in the sand in the lower, right quadrant to be the most visually interesting part of the image. I would like to see more of them as the left third of the image isn't all that stimulating (I guess it's a good place for text if used in print ads, etc). It also seems that this image holds to the rule of thirds pretty strictly, and I'm not a fan of placing the horizon line according to the rule of thirds. The clouds seem to have been darkened by the filter too much. Can you brighten them up some? The sun also seems placed according to the rule of thirds. There are cut off reflections on the right side and bottom of the image while the left and very top of the image are fairly bland. Based on the image as posted, I would like to see a composition panned to the right so the left rising edge of the foreground rocks is cut off and the camera lowered to get more reflections and a bit less sky. a vertical composition would also serve well.

I once spend a short work in Brittany (Quimper) due to a business travel. I had no chance for scouting the coast. This is very beautiful Kah Kit. Good to know now that back then I did not know what I missed... (man, hope this makes some sense )
The light on the wet sand looks great. Gives me a good and positive feeling.

I've got a feeling you're not going to like too many of my compositions I'm afraid Brad. I like to place horizon lines 1/3 into the frame although I prefer to be flexible and consider each image individually rather than use a prescriptive and rigid compositional framework. The clouds have certainly been darkened by the grad filter and could be lightened but I won't be doing that as I think the extra punch in saturation and drama outweigh this concern. I didn't like the idea of cutting off that foreground rock; it just looks weird which is why it's composed this way.

Love the golden light reflected off the wet sand Kah Kit as well as the balance between light and dark. The drama reminds me of Traigh Mhor and Inverness Beach in some ways.

Didl, I found Quimper to be quite a nice town, although the main attractions really close by are towns like Pont-Aven and Concarneau rather than landscapes. I'm pleased that you find that it gives you a positive feeling. I had a bad cold this week and processed this photo specifically so that I had something positive to look at, as opposed to my more dramatic stuff.

Ooh, like this a lot. My eye is especially attracts to the reflected colors in the sand, and their many variations. Excellent work KK.

the sunlight's reflection on the sand really makes this shot, a beauty to look at...

I like the comp Kah Kit and the movement you have in the water. The overall colour is nice as is the light reflecting in the wet sand.

Wonderful light here, and very well-composed in my opinion. I don't think panning to the right would be advantageous at all, as you'd lose the overall scene being framed equally by the two distant formations, and it'd cut off the foreground rock (unless you also stepped to the left, in which case you'd lose the leading-line quality of the sand formations in the LR). The dark clouds certainly add to the drama. I wouldn't change a thing!

Wow! Stunning scene, Kah Kit! I love everything about this--one very minor nit is the vignette (?) is a bit strong--i might brighten this a bit overall.
Oh--and thirds are the way to go!

I tried commenting the minute you posted this, but my ipad wouldn't login.
IMHO your one of the Masters of sea-scapes. Your expertise in controlling all the elements (land, sea, and sky, light, the unexpected) simply marvelous and exhilarating .
I agree with Stan on the Vin, or maybe it's the lower zones you need to open slightly for a more intimate connection. None the less, it's a great scene.

Not as memorable as some of your other recent work, but I would still like to have it in my portfolio.

This is a wonderful seascape Kah Kit. Your composition works so well and I just love the light, colors and textures you have here. The reflection across the wet sand is awesome! Beautiful!
