Last Moments of Light

hi folks,

i'm back home from an amazing trip to iceland, but before i'm going to start uploading those images i'll show you a few more from the last trip to patagonia.

the sky was filled with lenticular clouds glowing in all kinds of hues during this incredible patagonian sunset. capturing the dynamic range (and colors) of the scene was quite challenging, but so was reaching this location in the first place. if you'd like to know more about the experience, continue reading on my blog.

Love the colors in this one. That blue is some intense blue, but it looks believeable. And that sky is of course fantastic. The lenticular clouds look as if they were formed by that peak...

Fantastic sky Joerg. Nice touch of light on the mountain which contrasts nicely with the blue glacial lake.

Simply stunning! The colors are fantastic, as is the composition. I particularly love the yellow-magenta-cyan palette you have there in the sky...
