The strong winds had finally died down. The evening air was absolutely still and the rocks in the lagoon were catching the last rays of sunlight. South East Iceland.

Absolutely beautiful. You held great detail in the dimly lite gray areas. I love the erosion patterns around the rocks. First class.

Very nice composition and light. I like how the first rocks leads to many more. Fascinating landscape as always.

Very nice Karsten. I really like the texture and ripples in the dark sand, and the rocks add a very nice element to the image.

Fantastic combination of the cool tones and textures on the distance mountains, the warmly illuminated rocks. I love how the rocks are scattered all throughout the image!

This is a great scene - must be viewed large to appreciate.

FYI - you've got a dust spot above the first set of peaks on the left - yes, I was pixel peeping.

Great job! :toast:

I am very late to the party, wondering why only 12 comments so far? I think this is among your best images, and among the best images on NPN. I think the composition is fantastic. So clean and elegant. Very effective. Ok, in a perfect world, perhaps, the sky could be less grey-ish, but this is in fact a meanlingless feedback. Works just great "as is".
