Sometimes simple & straightforward pics work but they are no so simple to execute.
Thank you so much for your kind attention & views!

Nice one Jagdeep. You are so right with your statement, but why didn't you lie down on the path for a lower angle?

Hey Jagdeep,

I'm totally in agreement with your comment about the value of simplicity in our images (and how hard it can be to pull off).

I like this one a lot - love the tall, narrow crop - suits the subject material perfectly well. Both composition and techs here are strong - exposure, sharpness, and DoF all look spot-on to me. I do wonder if this tusker was walking in a strong side-wind (coming from the right of the frame) - to me the image looks slightly tilted and could use a very slight CW rotation? But maybe that's how these guys walk? If that's the case I guess it comes down to balancing out actual vs. perceived level images...

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Brad

I would avoid the prone position, were I you. My position, if I were so lucky as to get this shot, would be "feets, don't fail me now!" On a more serious note, the only nit I have is I cannot think of any reason, under the circumstances, to avoid centering the subject. Otherwise, the composition and crop are first rate.

Well it looks a little too close for my comfort, but you pulled it off so beautifully! I like the sway to his body as he is walking forwards!

Simple, but simply beautiful! Handsome tusker! I, too, would prefer a little CW rotation, Jagdeep.

Lovely shot. The tight crop works well here.

I love everything about this image Jagdeep. Really a stunner! Would you mind letting us know what equipment you used to take the photo so we can get an idea of how close you were to the elephant?

Thanks friends !
I agree, it needs rotation.
I'm so sorry about not posting the techs, but this image was posted from my laptop and it doesn't have any software, which can tell details. As my home was under renovation, I'm yet to install my desktop. Once it is done, I'll post the details.
