Just getting back in to commenting and posting after a summer busy with festivals. This is one from last spring in the Okefanoke Swamp. Early morning soon after sunrise while the pond was absolutely still. Large version provided.

D90/Nikor 16-85@28mm/F9.5 @ 1/60s/circular polarizer

C&C welcomed.

That's awesome, Barry. The 50/50 split works well for me and enhances the graphic nature of the image.

Very nice. Makes my eyes go all wonky, in a good way. I have a similar shot from St. Mark's but this is much nicer.

Wow, this looks cool! This looks like a pencil drawing. I like all the fine lines. Very well seen!

The conversion works great here. I like your choices in tones. The comp is almost mesmerizing with all of the parallel lines.

Love the graphic elements here Barry. It does play tricks on the eye, but it makes it fun and adds interest. I bet this looks great in print!

Translates very nicely in B&W, Barry. I know from experience that the Okefenokee (from Stephen Foster SP) is a great place to photograph. Nicely done.

Barry,

I just had to come back and comment to let you know that I think this is fantastic! A great study and image for the b&w presentation, but filling the frame with mass of trees and reflection is just crazy good. As others have mentioned it's one of those images too that will play games with your eyes if you stare too long, but that makes for an engaging image.

One very minor, minor suggestion. You have branches in all but on corner of the image. If this were mine, I would crop slightly from the left to eliminate the open water in the LLC. We're talking real picky here, but that's what I would do if it were mine. Cloning could work too if so desired.

Great imagery!

Lon
