I saw this adult female and 2 young birds today in Cypress Provincial Park. It was a real pea-souper on the mountain - very low, dense cloud so my first shots were quite foggy looking. Luckily a wind came up every so often and blew the cloud away from the birds. I was really hoping to get a shot of mom with the young ones in the same frame, but she kept chasing them away every time they got close to her! Mom actually nipped at babys tails. I think they were getting old enough that she was trying to teach them to be independent.

Nice looking bird in very what looks to be some nice habitat.
The composition is a bit centered, and the image seems a bit dark.

Good looking image overall.
