Milky Way over Beckwith

Taken in July, this 32 second exposure was captured near East Beckwith Mtn., west of Crested Butte, CO.
At first I thought the quarter+ moon would interfere in providing a dark enough sky. Turned out the illumination on the mtn top really provided a nice addition.
Great to live in a state with such incredible night skies!

Nice shot Ken! I really like the colors captured in the Milky Way.

Nice star capture Ken. I love the pink/purple tones blending into the blue. I wish there was a bit more of the mountain as the comp feels a little unbalanced, but still a very nice capture.
