After the Rain, October 14th 2010

An outing in the park, with an umbrella. I managed to take this photo, during a break, in a mid-day sun shower. :)

Hope you enjoy!

Minor brightness and contrast adjustments, in PS

Panasonic DMC-TZ3
Focal Length 13.7mm
Shutter Speed 1/250 sec
Aperture f/4.7
ISO/Film 100

I was asked to post the camera settings, for my photos. I could not afford an expensive camera body and macro equipment, so I built an attachment for my camera, that included cardboard tubing and lots of duct tape. The above settings, may or may not make any sense since the attachment changes just about everything. :)

Stephen - This is very nice. I like that pinkish purple color and the water drops. Background also works in your favour here. I am on the fence with respect to the clipped buds along the right edge but its not a deal breaker for me.

I really like this Stephen. The two leaves supporting the bloom, the rain drops, the light control and thee great separation from BG make this a top shelf capture for me. Superb.

I am also wondering about the clipped buds....do you have any more room to the right? I like the colors & light & especially like the bottom drop with the reflections in it. You might want to clone out that oof branch pointing from the center of the flower.

Hi Stephen :wavey: The bud has already been mentioned , Good detail and color on the flower , no problem with the BG. the refraction on the water drop is an added bonus.
