Bald Eagle

A bald eagle from this spring on the Hood Canal in Washington State. It was a partly cloudy morning, and I started tracking this eagle as it approached us, as the eagle broke from the white sky and started to pass in front of the Olympic Mountains, I fired a burst of several frames. I liked this one the best of the series.

Canon MkIV, 600mm, 1/1000, f7.1, ISO 640, manual spot meter

All your comments and suggestions are very much appreciated

Sweet topside view Ken. This guy just pops out against the BG letting him (her) be seen in all his majesty. Simple and elegant, love it.

Nice detail on the eagle Ken and I like the three dimensional feel. The way the cloud is shaped behind the eagle reminds me of a jet contrail, cool coincidence! :toast:

Excellent Eagle, Ken. Just a great view of the Eagle's back. The blue background really sets him/her off. :wavey:

Great point of view. Really like the amount of room in the entire frame. Good example of not needing to fill the entire frame with the bird.
