Hi, Mark - welcome to the Avian Gallery!
Nice first post! This is a delightful image of this little Anna's. Nice pose and branch, with a clean BG.
Hard to tell sharpness with only a small image, but looks as if your DOF was quite shallow. The head and gorget look sharp, though, and that is the most important thing.
If you'd share your equipment and exif data, we could comment more specifically.
Also, If you haven't already, you might want to introduce yourself in the "NPN Photographers" gallery
Looking forward to more images from you, and your comments and critiques as well!

Sandy

Welcome to NPN, Mark. Nice look at the subject, with sharp detail for the most part. Looks like your dof is a little short, but head, gorget and breast are good and sharp, however. Some tech specs would be a good accompaniment.

thanks-see details.
I had to drastically reduce file size to get it to 300k - and now i see concentric wavy patterns on the background-is that due to drastic resizing? Do you see it on your monitors? Thanks!
