Excellent upward perspective showing the amazing form of this young mantis against the sky, John. I am not sure what caused the blurring at the bottom of the stick below the mantis, but that would be my only nit.

Scott and Dennis, I think what you are seeing is glare from the window behind the mantis striking the stick, other than that I am not sure what it is.
