My only concern here Sandy is that the subject gets lost in the BG. Just too many like colors.

Your title says it all, Sandy. Lots of color and glow. I like the color in the bg. I see you shot this wide open. For my tastes, if possible, a bit more separation between the subject and BG may have preferable to give the bg less detail and more wash but that is purely subjective.

I think the background might be a little too strong...maybe burning it a little might make the flower stand out more? I like the colors but it almost takes over the flower....which maybe you want it to do! But I think part of the distraction of the BG might also be an issue of over saturation or blown out highlights maybe.

I like all the colors and the subject definitely has a nice glow. In the larger version it looks like there's a subtle halo around the upper half of the subject, but that could be my eyes playing tricks.

Love the colors and the nice light in the bg. The main subject does seem to blend in but I'm not sure that's all bad. I like the warmth and the cheerful mood.

Sandy:
As you title said, a riot of color. Did you use any filter here to get the glow in the bloom. I also fine the bg color interfering with the bloom. There is a patch posteriorized pink/magenta to the left of the bloom tip which is distracting.

Sandy - Very colorful frame and that is what I like the most here. I would see if a crop from the top makes the impact stronger so that the strong gradient from color to all green is reduced. I would reduce the glow effect slightly on the main flower and retain it only for the background.

Yeah, what Ram said.
Great color and a little tweaking will make this one even more special.

Now! that looks warm and summery! Nice combo of colorful blooms. I scrolled a bit and found I like better with less green at the top-- most likely a personal preference thing-- but imho, it also helped to balance the comp and to focus on the subject flower and color wash bg.

Nice to see you posting.

Sandy: I'll echo Catherine's comment regarding a top crop. Everything else works well for me. Nicely done. >=))>
