Great action photo! You caught some great action going on. Also, like the detail you have in the elephants skin. Thanks for sharing.

love the action and textures here - looks like overcast weather
I need to get to Addo again! haven't spent nearly enough time at Hapoor...
a tad tight on the edges but I presume it's full frame left to right?

The poses with lifted feet and twisty parts make for a fine capture. I think the saturation is a little strong, however, especially the greens. I am assuming this is a crop, and if so I would agree with Morkel in preferring some more space on the edges, if possible.

Very nice. I like how you captured the details in their faces. Yeah, more room on the sides would be nice, but this is good just as it is.

Thanks to all the comments !
I agree it's a bit tight but could not do much about it as it is a full frame and to answer your question Morkel ..... It was overcast and this image was shot a short while after some heavy rain.
The red tint on the elephants comes from a mud bath. It was interesting to see around 250 elephants at the dam ...... Half of them where red and the other half light grey.

Mario, I can almost feel the leathery wrinkled skin of the elephants in this image and the position of the elephants is so different and fun. I have to agree that the grass seems a bit neon green, but everything else is wonderful.

A terrific image, very nicely done. I really like positioning of the feet.
I agree about tight frame, but Elephants are not cut and you can always add the canvas.
I feel the image will benefit from the boost in contrast.

You have captured a fun moment here Mario. The technical nits for me are the tightness and the vibrant greens (as already mentioned by others), but with action/fun images like these the techs become less important anyway.

Mario - while I agree withthe other tech-comments, this image is fun to look at over and over and over. Great action shot - love the details in the skin. Thanks for explaining the red tint.

Wonderful action and good timing to get this. I realize it is full frame and a little tight but not a problem for me as my eyes went right for the elephants to check them out. Way to go.

Thanks again to all the comments ....... About the greens ....... To be honest I haven't really touched them. It was an overcast day and it had rained a lot early that day which always helps getting the greens greener. Plus during this time of the year everything is very lush and green in this part of South Africa.
I hope this helps with the vibrant greens

Fantastic shot, Mario. You really captured some good action. Must have been great to watch these guys. But hey, that's a foul, and a very clever one, to render your opponent blindfolded!
