This young chipping sparrow landed in a bit of sunlight on a low tree branch giving me a quick chance for a photo or 2. Did post in Bird Forum to get correct ID, thanks everyone for responding.

Canon T3i
1/250 @ F-6.3 ISO 400
Sigma 150-500 @ 439mm not sure how I got 439mm, may have pulled lens back instead of manual focus ring.
Monopod, Spot meter.

I like the nice soft light against the dark green background , would be nice to see larger version for better enjoyment :wavey:

A nice solid image, with a good perch and a subdued, darkened BG.

Beautiful light, John. I always like the "spot lighted" images.

I like the colors and pose of this shot. The heavy branch gives a nice touch. Good capture!

Very nice image. I really like the mood this presents. The spotlight on the bird is great. Can't tell at this size, but it appears the bird might be a touch soft?

Thanks everyone for your comments. I did not post a larger image since I felt the quality was not there, it is a bit soft.
