Taken this July in a very dramatic sunset with thunderstorms in the area.

Long lens - capturing a small but interesting area of the mountains & clouds.

5DIII, 70-200 w/2xIII extender, F11, 400mm, 4 seconds, ISO 400

I like the contrast in cool/warm colors. The semi-pano works well, too. Very well done.

I do like the layering. Would maybe like to see a less black foreground (more texture) and a bit more pano cropping some of the dark clouds from the sky.

Fabulous capture Wick. Stunning light. Love the layers of dark fg, blue mtns and then red/yellow sky. The very top dark cloud seems a bit heavy... perhaps a crop down to about half way through the cloud might be an option. Great shot. Large version is awesome.

 Wow, that is some amazing light combined with a spectacular view. I like the layers in the landscape - particularly the tonal layers transitioning from dark to light and back to dark. Your processing looks great and I'm glad you resisted the temptation to bring too much out of the shadows. Print this one large!! :toast:
