Nikon D5100 w/ Tamron 28-300VC lens

RAW image processed in PSE10; no crop
Location: Santa Rita Mountains, AZ - Box Canyon

Was out looking for insects when this scene presented itself. I normally don't do a lot of landscapes, but sometimes you have to take advantage of a situation. Comments and critiques welcome, especially regarding composition. Thanks in advance!

I like the felling of this image. I like the composition. The way you positioned the sun below the curve of the plant stem works well and you did a good job on the exposure of the sun. The only thing that is a bit distracting is the white horizontal line just below the sun.

Real pretty sky, love the rim light, and the shadow areas blend well with the rest of the scene, all and all, very nice indeed Tonia.

Beautiful sun and sky. I also like what you've done with the arching stem. For me, there's not much going on in the left half so I would suggest cropping that out to emphasize the foreground silhouette without losing any of the story in the sky.

Lovely warm sky and great job finding an interesting fg subject. The arching plant stem is quite graceful. I like Marks crop suggestion. IMO, the vertical crop would make this much stronger. Nice job, as is though.
