They grow like weeds and have the most elegant form and brilliant blue color that fades to violet.

Canon Rebel XTi, IS0200, 100mm, f/8.0, 1/13, natural light indoors, tripod.

Thanks in advance for any comments and suggestions for improvement.

Very nice portrait Kathy! I really like the back lighting. The black background works very well. Good detail, point of view and depth of field. The only suggestion I can make would be to experiment with reflected light on the front to lighten the flower's base, but that might ruin the highlights from the back lighting so I don't know if that would work

Very nice capture Kathy!.

Great image, Kathy! I like the backlight on the flower and on the stem. :wavey:

Lovely, lovely light! The bit of oof front petal doesn't bother because it blends nicely into the highlighted area of the tube of the flower. Most excellent.

The back lighting and the simpleness of this are superb Kathy. Well taken and composed.

Lovely lighting and soft, silky colors. The back lit stem is especially pleasing. A beautiful image. (by the way...the common name of the wild variety is bindweed and it also grows like a weed )

Kathy - Love the light and how it lights the petals and the fine hairs on the stem. A slight angle to the flower might have made the composition a bit more dynamic but its just a wish from my side.

Kathy:
Love the backlighting on the petals and the stem. The image looks a little static and Ram's suggestion of slightly different POV may be worth experimenting with.

Horizontal angle gives this a fresh twist, even though that's how they grow. Light well captured.
