This image was taken in one of our local parks this morning.

I was pleased with the background and the action.

Nikon D300s, 300 2.8 lens with a 1.4 teleconverter. F7.1, 1.1000

Thanks for looking and critiques appreciated.

Love it - unusual and nice pose, great leafy perch and really lovely BG.
New monitor here, but it looks as if it might be a tad over-sharpened.
Nice!

Beautiful, May. I like the pose and a great natural perch. I agree with Sandy that it looks a small amount oversharpened to my eye. Also, I wiould bring the overall brightness of the whole photo down a little. :toast:

Thanks to Charlie and Sandie for their suggestions regarding the sharpening. I reprocessed this image reducing the brightness and then prepared it for the web. Is this better?

Sweet Capture May  I do like the re-worked version better. Nice details, great stop action pose.

Lovely shot Sandy - the original looks OK to me. Maybe a little more on the bottom and a little off the top?????

Lovely light and setting/pose. I too might suggest a little more room at the bottom and right. These birds always look so elegant. Nice job!
