When I went to aletsch glacier end of june this year the alpine roses were at its peak. It's been on my "to do" list for quiet some time and this year I finally made it there.

Even with "boring" light this is still really pretty. Nice work/comp :)

Such a beautiful landscape, Roland. I enjoy the gentle curves of the glacier and how the two trees sort of frame it. This one needs to be viewed large to appreciate all the detail. Great work.

That's quite a view Bill! Great capture of this place. Having been up there last year, I can appreciate this composition. You found a good one.

Excellent comp! And what a grand view this is! I could see putting a little contrast back into the foreground as it looks like it has a little hdr to it. Not much needed to make this something for an art museum. :toast:

This is quite a spectacular scene. Colors, clarity and exposure seem all spot on.

Raw alpine beauty. An expansive view - might consider darkening the FG slightly.

Fantastic shot Bill. Excellent comp. Love the glacier lines leading to the bg mountains. I also agree the fg seems a little over hdr'ish, but a stunning shot none the less!

The roses are a great foreground element with the glacier providing great depth. This is lovely. As someone who rarely sees a glacier, I'd also like to see more of those flowing lines in the ice, but that's a different picture.

Beautiful scene, great composition. The only thing that would perhaps make it even better would be some light touching the mountains. What a lovely place! It sure looks amazing.

Nice to see deeper into the glacier. As Didl mentioned, we didn't make it that far last year. You captured the mood of the place cery well. I'd pull back a little on the wen sharpening next time - feels a bit too noisy for (even) me to a point where you sacrifice saturation because of that.

A delightful mountain scene, Bill. The combination of the flowers, mountains, clouds, and beautiful slithering glacier gives me lots to look at! I agree with Morris to try adding some contrast back in to the foreground.

Fascinating scene, Bill. Every element in the frame is special on their own and they are working well together too in this composition.

Beautifully crafted image Bill. You don't often see flowers with glaciers.

I prefer your more recent post from this area, but this is still very nice. More ice is better here IMO.
