Sandy,
I find how you cropped this very interesting. While most would have framed this vertically, you have presented it in a horizontal frame.
To me this adds a bit of tension to the image and keeps it very interesting.
The subject looks nice and sharp where it needs to be, (the eyes) and the colors look good.
Nicely done.

Nice capture Sandy, since you can't see his feet it kind of looks like you caught it in mid-flight in a hard left bank!

Quite a feat, getting one of these in flight. Well done.

Well, Phil is right - note the tell-tale narrow black curved bar across the middle of the (back) dorsal hind-wing..
Title corrected! Thanks!

Wow, you caught this in mid-flight? Good job getting of getting a flat focal plane to get the butterfly in focus. Nice colors too.

He looks posed on the flower in the BG, Amazing you captured him in flight, especially at that focal length. Good job!

Lovely isolation of the butterfly, Sandy - I'm amazed at how you've caught it in flight so perfectly !! The square comp is interesting and looks good to me.
