I'm just trying to get familiar with the abilities of my new 1DX with 300mm f2.8.
So far, I can say that high ISO performance and 12 fps are really impressive.

Couple of Rudy Shell Duck at late afternoon.

NICE new gear!

Lovely detail on the bird, and I like the background bird "shadowing" him. The reflection in the water of a post maybe (?) on the right hand side of the image distracts me. Maybe crop it or clone it out? I think you could take some off the bottom and right - but maybe you wanted to keep the whole subject bird's reflection?
