I am just fascinated with this elephant ear plant.... it seems to survive the worst of droughts, and the most severe downpours.

I agree, a fascinating plant & excellent closeup subject.
I like the diagonal lines and the intricate tapestry you have revealed.
Interesting look with the light & shadow falling across the "ear" as well Robert
Great job on this

Those vein patterns are really cool! They look very feathery! I also like the variations in greens & the dappled light adds a very dramatic effect.

Really nice, Bob. Terrific lines and color. Like Howard, I really like the subtle alternating shady and lighter areas. Very dynamic. I would prefer the upper third to be as sharp as the lower two thirds.

Robert:
Very engaging image. The vein patterns are so interesting and the shadow and light adds another dimension to the image. Wish the diagonal shadow across the center of the image wasn't there though.

Sweet, sweet patterns! My only small nit is the deep shadow near the URC—I wish it wasn't there.

This is absolutely wonderful. I love the patterns, the many shades of green and especially the play of light and shadow which makes this image come alive. Terrific job

Nice choice of composition and the detail is outstanding. A conversion to b&w is also a strong possibility. Excellent image.

Love the light and the patterns as well as the diagonal placement of the boldest lines. Agree with the other comments re: the shadow in the ULC and the limited DOF (although at f22 you did as well as possible without stacking or perhaps a slightly different subject to sensor plane).

Fantastic detail. Nice composition, too, really strong. I love it! I agree about the depth of field, but it's fabulous all the same.

I really like this, Robert! It looks like it is just shimmering with movement and color. Great comp with the main veins being on the diagonal and the wonderful angled swirls of the smaller veins. Love the play of light and shadows in this. Well done!
