Found this guy in a sunlit meadow near my house. Not sure what kind of hopper he is but I thought he was quite a handsome fellow!

Great job getting low for this point of view, Carolyn. Grasshoppers have remarkable coloring and markings, as you captured here. The detail is superb, right down to the tiny hairs on the thorax.

Superb Carolyn! Nice POV and BG, wonderful light and incredible detail - both antennae and the belly-hairs in focus. WOW (and he's handsome too)

Excellent capture! Wonderful colours in the 'hopper and BG, and fine detail. The head is maybe a bit bright? (new monitor so I'm not sure)
Very well-done!

He is a fine looking fellow and I love the golden glow that just shouts "sunny meadow". Beautiful detail and an excellent diagonal perch. Very nice capture

Carolyn, nice lighting and detail on this little grasshopper. The solid green background really works well to make the subject stand out. Very nice work!

Great image Carolyn, love that low point of view and those superb details you captured in the legs and thorax. Great pose and bg too. I have to agree with Albert, as pretty as it is I wouldn't want this guy in my garden.
