Love that light from the side! It really brings out the texture in the petals. Too bad the petals on the right got cut off. Would have been nice if aimed more to the right, with some space on the right side for the flower to "look into."

Great job catching and taking advantage of the light, Rick. The flowers stand out beautifully from the dark shadows. The flowers are living up to their name from the looks of the light. Although I like unconventional comps, on this one I tend to agree with Wayne about the clipped blossom on the right. Thanks for sharing these beautiful flowers.

Lovely light and I really like the composition and the texture of the petals as well. I agree with Wayne that the petals on the right got clipped, it's too abrupt an edge to my eye.
