Beautiful, John. Lovely detail and great eye contact and the dof is just perfect to provide a great bg.

Excellent work.

Not a Clay-colored Sparrow. Either a Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow or a LeConte's Sparrow (something I have very little experience with).

I like the composition and the setting. IQ is looking better here as well.

Excellent photo. I lean towards LeConte's Sparrow.

Beautiful, John. I like the eye-level POV and the view inside the natural habitat. Nice find too. We looked up the Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow a couple of days ago because my friend thought he had heard one. It's a raspy trill. The Le Conte Sparrow sounds like insect buzzes. And, I think of the Clay-colored Sparrow as the "buzzsaw".

Wonderful overall composition, I like the tonality, reeds and the look from the sparrow. The larger image shows very nice detail for the crop, very nicely done, way to go.
